Hi — I’m the person behind this site. I’m not a financial advisor, a fund manager, or a crypto influencer with a course to sell you. I’m someone who found buying my first Bitcoin far more confusing than it needed to be, and figured other people probably felt the same.

So this is the guide I wish I’d had: plain English, no hype, no “financial freedom” fantasy, and no pretending I can predict where the price is going (nobody can).

How this site pays for itself

Some links to exchanges are referral links. If you sign up through one, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only recommend places I’d point a friend to, and I’d tell you the same things whether the links paid me or not. You’re always free to go to any exchange directly instead.

Nothing on this site is financial advice. Bitcoin is volatile and you can lose money — potentially all of what you put in. Only ever invest what you can genuinely afford to lose, and if you’re making a significant financial decision, talk to a qualified, regulated advisor who knows your personal situation. I’m here to explain how things work, not to tell you what to do with your money.

Rules and taxes around crypto vary by country and change over time. Check what applies where you live.

That’s the honest version. Now go read the guide.
